Daily Video Clip

Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is the Fan Film entitled Immolation. It is a fan film that made its debut on the Internet in 2009 and takes place during the Knights of the Old Republic era. Run time is 47 minutes.

During the apex of Sith power during the great Jedi Civil War, just before infighting tore the Sith Order apart, a young recruit was apprenticed to lead a life with the Brotherhood that he had not fully embraced. Failing his last and most important trial, the Brotherhood deemed him unfit to be Sith and hunted him to a snowy training world inside Sith Space to exterminate him; to make him an example of those who fail.

An overachieving young Jedi Sentinel, 3 years beyond his apprenticeship sees through the Living Force that not all is what it seems with this apprentice. As a Sentinel continually seeks the truth, so does this young Knight, at the protest of the Council. Yet his impeccable service record allows him enough leeway to pursue the truth of this hunt.

Through the Force and his own reconnaissance skills, he finds the fleeing apprentice on this cold, snowy world. Though encountering resistance, he ultimately uncovers a revelation that compels him to track and intercept the apprentice before he himself is intercepted by the Sith Platoon that hunts their prey. The apprentice must meet his judgment and decide to accept his death or fight amongst his brothers.

You can find this video in the Fan Films section. Enjoy!

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 No Longer With Rebellion

DarkZero is reporting that the troubled development of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 has taken another interesting twist. After jumping from the sinking ship Free Radical to Rebellion, who are currently hard at work on Aliens vs. Predator 3, it has now been handed back into the hands of the developer of the first two installments – Pandemic.

After the recent leaked footage - which we’d thought to be in-game, but since turned out to be pre-rendered - appeared online in the post-Free Radical fallout, Battlefront 3 looked full of promise, and with Rebellion’s experience with the underrated PSP version, the future of the series was looking good. Pandemic, however, are on a bit of a downward ebb in recent times, with Mercenaries 2 being a huge disappointment, and Lord of the Rings: Conquest – billed as essentially “Battlefront in Middle Earth.”

Let's hope Pandemic can pull through its money troubles and schedule conflicts to put together another great installment of the Battlefront series!

Meet Cad Bane

The Official Star Wars Site has a new article about the new Bounty Hunter called Cad Bane. Bane is introduced in the March 20th season finale episode called “Hostage Crisis.” “That one gets pretty violent,” warns Filoni of the episode. “We wanted to get a bit more intense in some of the episodes of the series."

Filoni describes Cad Bane as an older bounty hunter at the top of the game since Jango Fett is no longer around. “Cade Bane has a lot more looser moral content than Jango ever had. He’ll shoot you dead, unless you offer him more money, and he might not and shoot the person who hired him dead.” Filoni also showed images of fan-favorite hunter Aurra Sing, who also appears in “Hostage Crisis.” Be sure to read the entire article!
