| The Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Today | |
It is hard to believe that it has been 30 years since I first sat down in the theater as a boy to watch the first showing of The Empire Strikes Back in 1980. I still remember to this day the opening crawl giving me chills! (It sometimes still does) Seeing the Seeing my favorite characters back in action was just a dream come true. From the massive Super Star Destroyer, to the Hoth battle and the AT-ATs, to the introduction of Yoda, to who would get the girl. (Han or Luke... and remember back then we didn't know they were brother and sister.) Our first glimpse of the evil Emperor, the majestic Cloud City, and the introduction of Lando Calrissian. The duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader! Vader couldn't really be his Father right? He was just playing mind games with Luke to turn him to evil... Right? It was a great day and a fantastic film that has weathered the test of time well. For many Star Wars fans, this was their favorite film of the Star Wars Saga. I usually don't like to say this because it can be seen as nerdy, but today seems fitting. May the Force be with you always!

I apologize for the lack of updates this week. The company I work for has been implementing a new computer program and I have been heavily involved with getting things going. I hope by next week things will get back to more of a normal pace.
