It’s no Jedi mind trick - this
really is a (very) sneak peek at Sideshow Collectibles’ long-awaited Darth Vader
1:6 scale figure! The Sith Lord is currently in development at Sideshow, and is
one of our most active high-priority projects. A Sideshow ’spec ops’ development
team lead by staff artist Jared Chapman is working closely with sculptor Hernan
Alé to breathe new life into Darth Vader. Details on the Darth Vader figure are
as tightly guarded as the Death Star plans, so go ahead and dispatch your Bothan
spies, or keep an eye on the newsletter and SideshowCollectibles.com for news
and updates and the opportunity to pre-order your Darth Vader figure in the next
few months, as soon as he’s ready for his debut!
Sideshow is pleased to announce the Royal Guard RAH - 12-inch Figure from Medicom Toy Corporation.
The figure is highly authentic and film accurate, and ready to take life on your
shelf in any dynamic pose that you desire. Medicom Toy's RAH body is one of the
most articulated 12-inch figure bodies available, capable of nearly any pose
that the human (or superhero) body can achieve. Each Royal Guard figure includes
a force pike and a display base, and comes packaged in a beautiful window
display box. Be sure to get yours today! They won't last long!
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is from one of your favorite Star Wars

Videogamer.com has an
interview with Cameron Suey, a producer for the upcoming Star Wars Game The
Force Unleashed. In the interview, they discuss why the PC version of the game
will not be released. What about the future of Star Wars games on PC? Several
games have not made it to PC, so are Star Wars games only going to be on
consoles from here on out? Cameron says no. Here is a question and response that
keeps the PC door open:
VideoGamer.com: Do you guys have any message to your PC-owning fans,
because you guys have a heritage on PC?
CS: Absolutely. We started on the PC. Unfortunately that goes back to
the point of such a variance of the platform. There wasn't such a variance at
that time and it made a lot more sense to develop on PC. The message is that
we're not shutting the door on PC at all. Just for this project it happens to be
that we don't have a PC SKU. I really hope that everyone can experience this
game on a platform eventually.
Gerald sent me a video greeting
from the trip he had to Poland on May 10th for "Star Wars Mayday." We reported
about the event the Star Wars Fan Club of Bydgoszcz was hosting originally on
May 1, 2008. Thanks Gerald!
Topps will have The Clone Wars
trading card set in stores July 26th 2008. Featured Artist and good friend
Kevin Graham will
be doing 250 of The Clone Wars Sketch Cards and some will be chosen for the set.
Some will be his animation cells and the rest will be directly on the cards.
Although it’s a cartoon, he will be drawing some characters a bit like they were
used in the regular movies. I am sure these cards will be fantastic and I have
provided an example card of his work. Be sure to pick up that Clone Wars set!
Today is my birthday and it also just
happens to be on the same day as George Lucas! No wonder I am a Star Wars fan!
Happy Birthday to George who turns 64 while I am knocking at the door of middle
age at 39. It sure is nice of George to give me The Clone Wars as a belated
birthday present!
Today's new video clip is an
animated tribute for the 25th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi featuring Star
Wars action figures. Mr. Gerald Home (Tessek/Mon Cal Officer) e-mailed me
stating that Paul Rowley and John Collier have given us their permission to
provide you with this film. I can't imagine the amount of time spent on this!
Enjoy!
Today I have updated the Music section with a new soundtrack! The latest addition is
from the video game Knights of the Old
Republic which features 49 tracks. Enjoy!
Today I have updated Guy Lagacé's
ProbeShots with
another of his scenes. This is the sixth image for this section. This was Guy's
vision of Padmé on Naboo during Attack of the Clones. Remember that these images
were his vision of scenes from movies that had not been created. Be sure to also
see other great artists in the Featured
Artists section. Enjoy!
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is the
