Today's video clip is the Star
Wars Harlem Shake. I will be on vacation next week so there will be limited
updates to the website, and I thought this fad video was fitting to having some
time off. Enjoy!
Cosmic Book News has another cool Star Wars rumor. Their
source states that a spinoff movie is coming:
Set between Star Wars Episode III and Episode IV
Said to feature Ewan McGregor reprising the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in his
exile on Tatooine
The villain? Darth Maul hunting down his nemesis with a possible plot point
involving a 5-year-old Luke Skywalker somehow tied into the story possibly as
bait for Obi-Wan
This would be cool to see, but nothing is set in stone until we get an
official announcement. So, again we will keep this a rumor for now until we have
more information.
Today's new card is available in
the Star Wars Cards section. It can be
found under Series
4 (Green Cards) and there were 66 cards and 11 stickers in all from 1977.
Today's card is 248-Luke suspects the worst about his family of that series.

Beckett.com has provided a look into the 2013 Stars Wars
Galactic Files Series 2. Series 2 will have one sketch card and one additional
hit in every box. The other hit could be a Medallion, Autograph, Dual Autograph
or Printing Plate.
The autographs will feature 20 subjects including
Billy Dee Williams and Mark Hamill. The dual autographs – which are tough to
pull – will pit together characters with bonds such as the Hans Solo (Harrison
Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). There are only 200 total dual autographs in
the production run.
The set consists of 407 cards with 350 base cards and
57 inserts. The base cards touch on characters, places, planets and weapons. In
addition, Series 2 features three parallels with Blue (numbered to 350), Red
(numbered to 35) and Gold (numbered to 10). Topps will pull from all six movies,
Clone Wars and Expanded Universe for the set.
Five themes make up the
inserts: - Weak-Minded (1:3) – Force users who influence the minds of the
weak - Classic Lines (1:4) – 10 famous lines from the Stars Wars saga -
Ripples in the Galaxy (1:6) – 10 moments that altered the course of the
story - Honor the Fallen (1:6) – Remembering 10 characters who died in
battle - Galactic Moments (1:12) – Black and white foil cards using rarely
seen unit photography
Series 2 is scheduled to hits store on July 31 with
hobby boxes costing around $120. There will be 24 packs in each box with 12
cards in a pack. Be sure to see more of the card images at Beckett.
Course Of The
Force Returns For An Epic Second Journey
On the heels of last year's
monumental, first-of-its-kind event, Course of the Force, the lightsaber run
that captivated the attention of Star Wars fans around the world, is returning
July 9th - 16th, 2013. Kicking off at the famed Skywalker Ranch, participants
will continue the relay run down through San Francisco with several stops along
the California coastline before reaching the finish line- arriving just in time
for the start of the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International convention. Nerdist
Industries' founder Chris Hardwick will be back to host the event, with
city-stops along the way featuring "Conivals" where fans can celebrate their
love of the Saga with live entertainment, expo booths, giveaways and much more.
"Our plan to run at Comic-con screaming with a lightsaber worked beyond our
wildest dreams. People showed up! Lots of them! In cosplay! And we were able to
grant more than 1000 wishes for Make-A-Wish!" said Chris Hardwick. "Last year we
started in Santa Monica, this year, Marin, and hopefully next year
Tatooine."
Course of the Force has reteamed with the Make-A-Wish Foundation(r) chapters
of Greater Bay, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego with 100 percent of
all runner registration proceeds benefiting the charity. In 2012, the
Make-A-Wish Foundation(r) had a strong presence during the inaugural event, with
Make-A-Wish kids participating in the opening and closing ceremonies of Course
of the Force and running in the event.
Given the overwhelming response to the 2012 relay, this year's event is
expanding and will cover nearly 500 miles; at the end of the route, Course of
the Force will be hosting activities at the Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego
during San Diego Comic-Con International from July 18th - 20th.
Highlights from last year's 136-mile Course of the Force lightsaber run
featured a caravan of costumed runners, Jabba the Hutt's Sail Barge and two
Yoda-fied RVs traveling down the Pacific Coast Highway.
In addition to helping grant wishes, participants of Course of the Force will
run quarter-mile segments down the California coast, passing off the official
Course of the Force lightsaber. Registration is now open at http://www.starwars.com/courseoftheforce. Each relay spot is
$150, which includes a customized Hasbro lightsaber, exclusive Course of the
Force swag bag and the experience of a lifetime. Runners are encouraged to be
creative and wear their best Star Wars gear.

Eric Geller from TF.N had a report over the weekend
that states we may not get as much bonus content as we may have originally
anticipated.
"A source in the know tells me that Lucasfilm is only finishing two story
arcs from the material that they had planned for The Clone Wars Season Six.
Among the story arcs that will not emerge in this post-cancellation era is one
that dealt with Boba Fett and the other bounty hunters who have menaced the
heroes for several seasons. This story arc, which my source tells me was almost
done, would have shown us the fates of Cad Bane and Aurra Sing."
I think it is a shame that we will only get two story arcs. That is only
between six and eight episodes. I thought surely we would be able to get between
twelve and sixteen episodes based on how far out the team was working. I will be
happy to have any episodes of The Clone Wars, but I will be disappointed there
aren't more.
