Kenny Baker
Interview |
Our good friend and fellow Sworian Darth Pyross from Yildiz Savaslari has a great
interview with Kenny Baker. Kenny is the star behind everyone's favorite little
droid, R2-D2!
YS.COM: Which did you enjoy working on: the
original trilogy or the prequel trilogy (and why)?
K.B.:
I personally enjoyed working on the original trilogy as I had a great friendship
with Mark and because I was used much more back then. Empire is still my
favourite, working with everyone and Irvin Kershner was a fantastic
director.
Be sure to read the entire interview in English. Enjoy! |

Kevin Graham's
Galaxy 4 Padmé on Ebay |
My good friend Kevin Graham who is
a Featured
Artist here at Galactic Voyage and an Official Lucas Film artist is
providing you an opportunity to own a Star Wars Galaxy 4 Animation Cel Clone
Wars Sketch Card of Padmé! Here is a word from Kevin:
"As an Official Lucas Film artist I was honored to work on Topps Star Wars
Galaxy 4 set. This Sketch Card of Padmé is one of only 12 Full Color Sketch Card
Cels I did for Star Wars Galaxy 4. This is a 1/1 original hand drawn/inked and
painted animation cel . This is a scene of Padme from The Clone Wars animated
series. Padmé is hand drawn/inked on an animation cel. I then flip the clear cel
over and do the coloring with acrylic paints. The animation cel is then attached
to an official Topps card which I painted the background onto. This process is
very time consuming and unique to sketch cards. The colors are very vibrant. The
same process is done to create real animated cartoons but in this case on a much
smaller scale. This card is 1 of 11 Artist returns I received to sell. The card
will be shipped well protected in a Top loader and bubble
envelope."
Kevin has also worked on Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars,
Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Dr. Who, Halo, CSI, 2000AD, Marvel Masterpieces
2&3, Heroes and many other sets. Kevin is a well known artist and has done
illustration work for celebrities, political figures such as President Bill
Clinton and many others. Be sure to get your 1 of a kind animation cel at Ebay right now! You only have
1 week to get this excellent and rare collectible! Good Luck!

Speeder Bike
Ride-On |
The Official Star Wars Site has an
article about a cool new toy coming out for kids. Australia's ToyMonster company
brings back the speeder bike ride-on this year with an all-new design. This will
help young fans feel a little closer to the racing thrills of Return of the
Jedi's Endor forest chase scenes. It has the same basic design of the old Green
Machines from when I was a youngster. It will currently only be available in
Australia, but hey that is what the Internet is for! Be sure to read
the entire article and see what the original Speeder Bike looked like back
in the 80's.

Guy Lagacé's
George's Visions |
Today I have updated Guy Lagacé's section entitled
George's
Visions. This is the twelfth image for this section and was Guy's vision of
a cut scene from Episode II where Obi-Wan ran into some Massiffs. When this fan
art scene was created, there was word of these creatures being in the film and
attacking Obi-Wan, but the scene never made the final cut. Remember that these
scenes were created before we had details of things to come. Be sure to also see
other great artists in the Featured Artists
section. Enjoy!
