The Official Star Wars Site has announced that on Tuesday, December 22, representatives from Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Star Wars Saga celebrated the evergreen success of the beloved brand by visiting the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell. After more than 30 years, Star Wars maintains its position as the #1 selling licensed toy property in the US, with sales over 60% ahead of any other toy license, and 25% ahead of the nearest boys toy property -- sparking the collective imaginations of fans around the world. Lucas Licensing's Howard Roffman were accompanied by iconic, intergalactic characters including lovable droid R2-D2, Sith Lord Darth Vader and a color guard of stormtroopers and clone troopers.
