14, 2002 Tomorrow the fun begins as I will be waiting in line bright and early for my Star Wars tickets. I will be at the Wynnsong 12 in Winston-Salem, NC if you are in the area and would like to stop by. If not, I will see you (in spirit) at the 12:00 p.m. show of Attack of the Clones! The wait is almost over! Also, at the Official Star Wars Site, Twentieth Century Fox and Lucasfilm Ltd. today announced that Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones will open in 74 countries around the world on May 16 and 17, 2002. The opening of Attack of the Clones marks the biggest worldwide release of a film. (Click here for the full list of international release dates.) The release also marks the largest digital presentation for a film with over 94 digitally-projected presentations in 17 markets, including the United States and Canada. Click here for the list of digital theatres presenting Episode II. The movie will open in 3161 theaters across North America and Canada -- with approximately 6,000 prints. To ensure optimum presentation quality for moviegoers, Fox and Lucasfilm are unveiling Attack of the Clones in digital theatres or theatres with digital sound, wherever it is available. In addition, selected theatres in major markets will debut the film at 12:01am on Thursday. |
