New Imperial Forces Info at Star Wars.com!

Tonight the Official Star Wars Site has posted new information in their databank about the Imperial forces. This new info about the Star Destroyer helps to confirm it's design from Episode II. Here is some of the reference to the Old Republic: The triangular silhouette of an Imperial cruiser has come a long way since its Republic-inspired design. While vessels of the Jedi order were met with feelings of pride and relief as they came soaring to solve galactic strife, the Imperial Star Destroyer's gargantuan size clearly inspires both awe and terror.

Cool huh! Well, there is more! It seems we will see the boys in red in Episode II as well. Here is the reference to the Royal Guard which now has Episode II and VI highlighted at the top of the data sheet. Elegance and deadliness – these are the hallmarks of the crimson-clad Royal Guard that accompanied the galaxy's sovereign at all times. While the guards can trace their origins to the cerulean-clad Senate Guards of the Republic, Palpatine crafted an order of protectors that stood apart from the rest of his forces.

Things are really heating up now Ladies and Gentlemen! The cork is about to blow on this story! Are you ready?
