Star Wars reigns victorious over Star Trek!
On Saturday, February 3 Star Trek fans
were challenged by the Seattle Star Wars Society in a "no holds barred"
competition of laser tag to determine who are the better fans.
The winners were determined based on three areas:
1). Who scored the most points in laser tag
2). Which group had the most who came in costume
3). Which group brought the most brand
new toys to donate to a local charity for the 2001 Holiday season.
Here are the results:
STAR WARS
Points = 13,252
Costume = 6
Toy Donations = 42
STAR TREK
Points = 11,397
Costume = 18
Toy Donations = 35
TOTAL SCORE:
Star Wars = 13,300
Star Trek = 11,450
The most important thing is that a good time was had by all. Our goal was to get
both groups together, have some fun and do so with a good cause.
Will there be a re-mach? "Oooh yes!," hails Adam Jansen, events director
for the Seattle Star Wars Society. "We had way to much fun not to do this again.
Maybe next time we'll do paintball."
