New Site of the Month

Galactic Voyage has selected the next "Site of the Month" winner! The winner for April, 2004 is Just Jedi! Congratulations! I want to say thank you to all who applied. Don't worry if you were not chosen this month. Once you have applied, you will always be in the running!

Just Jedi is a really nice website that has a wealth of knowledge about the Jedi. There is information about the Jedi characters, the Force, Lightsabers, and more!. There are also wallpapers, a guestbook, and links. It may not be a mega-site, but it is very well done and I would recommend a visit today.

If you would like to submit your site to be in the running for May, then apply here to be "Site of the Month!"

Making of Episode III Webdoc #3

The Official Star Wars site has made it's third Episode III webdoc available to non-Hyperspace members.

Though the new Star Wars trilogy is filled end-to-end with cutting edge digital filmmaking techniques and computer-generated visual effects, there are still times when you need to roll up your sleeves and do things the old fashioned way.

Click here to watch the video.

Star Wars Jedi Healer

The Official Star Wars Site has announced a new Clone Wars book that will be released this Fall. While the Clone Wars wreak havoc throughout the galaxy, the situation on the far world of Drongar is desperate as Republic forces engage in a fierce fight with the Separatists.

Despite the all-enveloping armor and superior genetic pedigree, the soldiers of the Republic are still flesh and blood. In the steaming jungles of Jasserak, the doctors and nurses of a small med unit are devoted to patching together the beleaguered troops of the Republic.

This eccentric lot of surgeons is overworked, and even the Jedi healing abilities of Padawan Barriss Offee are tested to the limits. The conflict and casualties continue to grow, and an unthinkable option becomes the inevitable solution to this terrible problem.

Star Wars MedStar II: Jedi Healer is the second book of the MedStar duology, following Battle Surgeons. This Clone Wars novel is written by Michael Reaves (author of Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter) and Steve Perry (author of Shadows of the Empire), and features cover art by Dave Seeley.

This book is scheduled for paperback release in October 2004 from Del Rey Books.

Craig Burt's General Jump

Craig Burt e-mailed his latest piece entitled "General Jump." This was a special request that I asked him to make. Thanks Craig!

111General Jump.jpg (373057 bytes)

"I'd like to thank Bryan & Jedi Power for providing the visual info on the General and his guards that enabled me to get this pic done."

"As for Jedi Power, he's the reason this pic exists - it was his request to see a General Grievous.  I hope it's worth you looking at it Jedi Power.  All bad reviews are to be sent to him." :-)

"Normally I would let this pic sit for a few days, then give it a look-over to see if anything needed fixing that might have been missed in it's creation, but since its a request, I'll send it off straight away."

"This scene should be the one near the start of the film when Anakin and Obi-Wan go to rescue Palpatine from Dooku and Grievous - the General has a passing shot on his way out of the mess.  He may or may not be there, (I don't know, don't pay that much attention to be sure, I just go with my limited info and what I feel.) they are his quarters after all.  Who's been sitting in my chair?"

Easter Bilbys to you all.

Craig~~~~~~~~~

Be sure to see all of Craig Burt's Paintings on Page 1 and Page 2 along with Craig Burt's Cartoons! Also, you can find other great work at the Featured Artists section.
