Silver Sandtrooper

The Official Star Wars Site has provided a look the latest silver figure!
This year, collectors attending San Diego Comic-Con International will get a chance at the next figure in the exclusive Silver Saga Edition line from Hasbro. It's the classic sandtrooper from A New Hope, done with a silvery finish

Comic-Con runs from July 22-25 this year, and Star Wars will have a huge presence. You can take home some of that excitement in the form of the convention exclusive figure, available while supplies last. The figure will be available at the massive Star Wars pavilion of booths on the convention floor. There's a maximum of two figures per person -- convention badges will be punched with each purchase to ensure this limit.

Each silver sandtrooper is priced at $10, plus applicable local taxes. The figure will be doled out over the length of the convention, so each day, everyone has a chance to get one. A number of these figures will be set aside for future events, and for sale on StarWarsShop.com.

And what influences did this creation have on movies thereafter? (10 min.)

The Official Star Wars Site has announced the latest upcoming comics from Dark Horse for July 2004. The most intriguing rockabilly spacer in the Mos Eisley Cantina is getting his own story in Star Wars: Empire. Reformed smuggler BoShek was supposed to be undertaking a routine transport mission of a young woman across the desert to see her family. Instead, he find himself up to his sideburns in the crossfire between Rebels and Imperials. The spacer will soon discover it's nearly impossible to remain independent in the Galactic Civil War.

Samuel L. Jackson's Roll In Episode III

MTV.com has a blurb from Samuel L. Jackson on his roll in Episode III:

"George Lucas has honored Samuel L. Jackson's one wish for "Star Wars Episode III." Spoilers - Highlight to read: "I have a totally satisfactory death scene," the actor revealed on the set of another upcoming movie, "Coach Carter." Jackson added that he's not the only one to die in the scene. "A man with my skills, I have to take someone with me," he said...."

Some of this information you may have already known, but I did learn a little tidbit that makes me go Hmmmmm.
