Amphibious Interstellar Assault Transport/infantry
(Jaster’s Legacy)

The Amphibious Interstellar Assault Transport/infantry (AIAT/i) was a gunship used by the Galactic Republic and Mandalorian troops in the decades before the Clone Wars. The AIAT/i gunship was 31.5 meters long, 12.5 meters high, and had a 30-meter wingspan. It was propelled by a pair of oversized sublight engines, and could carry either 350 cubic meters of cargo or 50 troops, 1 repulsorlift assault vehicle, 4 speeder bikes, 1 IM-6 medical droid, and 6 prisoners. 

It had a number of weapons and was used by the Galactic Republic Judicial Forces as a troop transport, capable of landing on water. AIAT/i transports were produced over three decades before the Battle of Geonosis. One of these vessels was used by the Mandalorian Jaster Mereel and it was known by its military designation, JAST07. Later, Jango Fett used the ship and renamed it Jaster's Legacy for its original owner.

On a mission to capture a bounty on the prison colony of Oovo IV, another bounty hunter named Zam Wesell tried to slice into the ship during a prison riot, which resulted in its malfunction and permanent shutdown. In need of a new ship, Jango Fett was forced to steal a Firespray patrol craft that he eventually named Slave I. Fett then destroyed the remaining Firespray patrol craft in the docking bay.

Boba Fett also owned a ship of this class, called Slave IV.
