The Star Wars Holiday Special aired on CBS during the Christmas Holiday season in 1978 and was the only time it was ever shown. It features Chewie and Han trying to get back to Kashyyyk for a celebration called Life Day. Many of the main characters from Star Wars were in it, but one of the most significant events was the introduction of Boba Fett in a cartoon that Chewie's son is watching.
The Holiday Special runs for about 1 hour and 35 minutes. You will at least be able to see what all the hype is about. It was bad. I mean really bad. The Ewok stories are bad also, but they look like blockbusters in comparison. If you dare, go for it. Don't say I didn't warn you though.
