11.28.00 Amidala Update! Today T'Bone has posted some really cool news about Amidala and the Senate. Spoiler - Highlight to read: Corde (Cordé?) is played by Rose Byrne and she gets killed on land either during or just before the massive space battle near the beginning of the film that I told you about last time. It's a fast scene and not very long. Not much dialogue. Corde is a handmaiden and a decoy for Padmé just like in Episode I. Rose looks a lot like Natalie Portman which is why she was chosen for the role. Padmé doesn't even make it to the Senate before her decoy is slain. She is there to make a big vote. SENATOR Amidala goes back to Coruscant to vote on whether or not the Republic should commission a clone army. This is one of the plot points of the film. It's true that Captain Typho and R2-D2 are accompanying her to the Senate. It's also true that parts of Coruscant get laid to waste. Big time destruction. In this battle, Corde, is killed. Some time after that we will see Uv Gizen give the news to Palpatine that it was actually Senator Amidala who was assassinated. That takes place in the Senate. I think she gets killed by Jango Fett and not Zam Wesell as everyone has been saying. I believe Zam Wesell is involved in something else later on in the film. From what I can gather, it is definitely not Zam Wesell who kills Corde. I believe it is Jango Fett but I'm not 100% on that. Great update! As I get more I will let you know! Jedi Power
