Viper has sent in word as to why the SW Forums have been down lately:

"I wanted to let everyone in on what is going on with the SW Forums.  A few days ago I received an email from my host that they were discontinuing there UNIX server network and absorbing it into there Windows server network.  They said in the email that I would still have my PHP support so I could continue my site.  They also said that it would take a few days for everything to start working again.  I am still waiting for everything to come back online.  As of right now, I still do not have PHP support.  What worries me the most is that the email said nothing about getting mySQL, the backbone or phpBB, back at all.  I am working very hard to sort this all out but I am currently in a total state of disarray because of the suddenly of the switch.  I will try to keep you updated as much as possible.  Thank you for your patience."

Hopefully we will be able to get the forums back on-line soon so we can all enjoy some good Star Wars conversations.
