The Official Star Wars Site has launched their new and improved web site with the new Hyperspace section taking the forefront. You will be able to tour the new section from June 5-9 with the paid subscription starting on June 10. I really don't like paying for Star Wars content, but if I am going to stay on top of the latest developments, I have no choice. (I mean had!) I was probably one of the first to subscribe to the paid service as I had been refreshing starwars.com all morning until the new site was up.

The look is pretty cool, but the servers are very slow at this time, so you might be waiting a while for a page to load. Currently, all of the sections are showing "server busy" pages, so you can't really check it out anyway. I am not sure if they are still in the process of loading the new pages and content, or they are just overwhelmed by the public trying to see all of the new things. Either way, it might be better to try back later and hopefully things will be running a little smoother. At least for now, I will be able to keep you all up-to-date with all of the latest news. At least the news that will not get me sued or shut down.
