The Official Star Wars Site has announced that Code 3 Collectibles (makers of the Skywalker Ranch fire truck replica) will launch their first series of high-end die-cast models inspired by the spaceships and vehicles of Star Wars.

Details on the new series will be announced mid-year, along with the launch of a special section of Code 3 Collectibles' web site showcasing the line at www.code3.net.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Lucasfilm on such an ambitious project," said Arnie Rubin, President of Code 3 Collectibles. "Our designers are in the process of crafting a series of models with a degree of intricate detail and authenticity that will make them truly worthy of the Star Wars name."

I am really looking forward to some new die-cast vehicles and ships. I still have my original die-cast items and they are some of my most loved collectibles!
